There is a down pouring of energy onto the Earth from the Universe in the form of an Eclipse. Eclipses are caused by the powerful alignments of the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. Solar and lunar eclipses trigger events in our lives and force us to make decisions. Eclipses are catalysts for growth. We experience rebirth

During the full Moon when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon the shadow of the Earth covers the Moon producing a Lunar Eclipse. The light of the Moon is darkened temporarily.

A Solar Eclipse is a special New Moon in which the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun blocking the Sun's light from the Earth.

In the dark, the Light of our Spiritual Essence may be temporarily blocked.

Everyone feels the intensity of the eclipse energy. To deal with the energy people tend to use more drugs and alcohol,
there is an increase in the number of people thrown in jail, more people end up in hospital emergency rooms, people who
naturally are more sensitive struggle more than usual. Psychotherapist's and counselor's phones ring off the hook.
People don't understand what they are experiencing, some
have an extremely difficult time coping. We all need to apply
more empathy and understanding for ourselves and others.

The greatest intensity occurs during the two weeks between the eclipses. We need to take particularly good care of ourselves during the week leading up to the first Eclipse in the pair of eclipses and during the two weeks between the two eclipses. Meditating, deep breathing, massage, gentle energy work, prayer, listening to gentle music are all activities which will sooth our nervous systems and help us to navigate the intensity of this time period. The more we can reduce our activities in the outer world, the easier it will be to
manage our lives during the eclipses.

Eclipses occur in 19 year cycles with the intention of helping us to grow and to change our lives in accordance with the needs of our indwelling spirit. Throughout our lives we wonder off our spiritual path, we get stuck in ruts, we forget what is truly important to us, we lose sight of our higher values, we become involved in activities that are not true to our Self.   We become disconnected from our indwelling Spirit.

The eclipses and other transiting planets ignite energy which
is intended to change our lives, to transform our lives, to bring us back home to our Self.   It is during the eclipses that we are given the opportunity to bring our lives into alignment with the "truth" of who we are.

There are generally four eclipses a year - two solar and two lunar - which occur in cycles. The intense Eclipse energy descends upon specific areas of the Earth and affects our lives depending upon the location of the eclipse in our birth charts. An astrology chart has twelve houses. Each house represents a specific area of our life. We will feel the influence of the eclipse in the areas of our life represented by
the houses in which the eclipse occurs. We may experience
alterations or radical shifts depending upon the degree to

The part of our lives receiving focused attention is determined by the location in our charts where the eclipses occur and the planets and angles ignited by the eclipses.
